Applicants to the University of Texas–Austin’s (McCombs) executive MBA program may submit a standardized test to be considered for admission, although test waivers are available. Among incoming students, the average amount of prior work experience is more than 14 years. International students are required to submit TOEFL scores if they have been in the U.S. for less than two years and were educated in a language other than English. One letter of recommendation is required and students must complete a minimum of 42 credits hours to graduate.

The University of Texas–Austin (McCombs) requires part-time MBA applicants to submit GMAT or GRE scores, but also offers test waivers under certain circumstances. Incoming part-time McCombs students have a 650 GMAT score, a 3.36 undergraduate GPA, and more than seven years of work experience, on average. During the 2021-2022 academic year, the school enrolled 408 part-time MBA students and had a 59.57% acceptance rate in 2021. International applicants are required to submit TOEFL scores, but there are several exceptions. Part-time MBA candidates must apply by May 30.
